    Three Art Studios: Three Great Causes Country Art Tour

    Three Artists' groups will once again come together this year to present a very compact and very artful tour in Kilbride and Carlisle on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 & 2, 2019.

    2019 show

     

    Location One

    The first studio location is the Escarpment Artists Original Art Show and Sale at 6459 Cedar Springs Rd. in Kilbride (rural Burlington)  There are 9 artists at this location including: Diana Tuszynski (painting ) and Harold Dickert (custom guitar builder) who are hosting the show,  Linda Ross Gallagher (painting, rag rugs), Louise Botha (painting),  Ursula McDermid (painting, alcohol ink), Jenny Panda (mixed media, author), Denise Keats (potter), Anne Marshall (jewellery), Doris Treleavan (metal sculpture, garden art).

    The artists donate a piece of work for a charity or cause each year.  This year, proceeds will be given to the ACTION Milton Group to help in their fight to stop the Campbellville (Reid Road Reservoir) Quarry which affects both North Burlington and Milton residents and endangered species. www.actionmilton.ca

    Location Two

    At the second location 4 km east, Monika Schaefer will be hosting her 15th Annual Garden Art Show and Sale at her studio in Carlisle, at 2 Palomino Drive.

    Along with Schaefer's pottery and fibre art, there will be 3 guest artists: Lou Hanson of Illinois, Angie Trkulja of Burlington and Carmen Nistor Caldwell of Georgetown, offering a wide variety of art mediums for sale. You will find sculptural garden pottery and totems, functional pottery, felted as well as copper wire wrapped jewellery, felted tapestries, purses & cases and scarves, upcycled purses made from suit jackets and bluejeans, funky aprons and much more.
    Watch live demos all weekend of pottery, felting and wire wrapping.

    The proceeds of Schaefer's ladybug jewellery will once again be donated to Global Friends Foundation (globalfriends.ca) towards their GOAT program to help purchase goats to support orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa.     Location Three

    The third studio location is at Corby's Custom Framing, 26 Carlisle Road. This is their Twenty-Second Year of hosting Artists in the Country Art Show and Sale and open house.

    Corby's are hosting 15 local artists including Susan Bartolacci (acrylic-ink), Wanda Flis (watercolour and pastel), Glen Jones (photography), Patty Lynes (oil), Patricia Maas (mixed media), Denise Mann (watercolour), Dennis Martin (photography), Lee McIlwraith (watercolour mixed media), Fred Oliver (photography), Heidi Rohde (oil acrylic), Tim Story (photography), Teresa Thompson (acrylic), John Zsadany (oil), Mona Corby (pastel, zentangle, watercolour) and Don Corby (photography picture framing).

    Corby's are pleased to announce that on Saturday, local musician Laura Keating will be performing 2 music sets in the garden.

    Corby's are holding a raffle of 15-20 pieces of original artwork donated by their artists. All proceeds will go to  Animal Adoptions of Flamborough.
